The
Canine & Feline Behaviour Association
is the professional voice of the pet behaviour practitioner, representing
an unequalled body of knowledge concerning the care, training and
behaviour of dogs and cats in the UK. Our members and associates
are drawn from the top ranks of the profession with a common commitment
to achieving, maintaining and directing the highest possible standards.
We
are the inheritors of a tradition dating back hundreds of years
in dog training and related behaviour concepts. We are recognised
by many of Britain's leading insurance, and pet organisations. Many
of our members are highly respected authors and article writers
for Britain's magazine and newspapers in the pet industry including
Radio and Television.
The
Association works for its members and associates and is at the forefront
of new developments in training including University and College
courses for existing and new colleagues. We promote the science
and practice of dog and cat behaviour and support the education
initiatives that will produce tomorrow's experts in the field of
pet behaviour and training.
The
CFBA is actively engaged in various organisations in the U.K. which
help promote pet education for pet owners and dog and cat trainers,
behaviour practitioners in their work. Our members and associates
strive to promote new techniques in solving pet behaviour problems
for the public. We have formed affiliations with like minded institutes
to facilitate new training schemes and interlink our experts.
These
high standards are increasingly demanded by the pet owning clients
and the veterinary profession alike, and are the key to improving
the general care and welfare of dogs and cats in Britain. We are
an essential and influential cornerstone of the pet industry today.
Membership
of the CFBA places you at the apex of the profession and combined
with your other associated skills cements your standards of excellence
in the pet world. Entrance is through the qualifications as described.
