Veterinary referral

The veterinary may refer by...

  • suggesting that the client makes contact with us directly and with their veterinary referral letter or referral email. (This is the most common procedure)

  • writing a letter (or email) with their opinion on the behaviour in question to the Behaviour Practitioner

  • telephoning the practitioner to present the behaviour case and book an appointment on behalf of the client

  • simply referring the client verbally to our web site for information

Referral forms are available at the links opposite and which you may print out for your referral and client.

The Canine & Feline Behaviour Association is accepted by pet insurance companies who offer cover for behaviour problems and meets their criteria for competence and excellence.

The CFBA is a member of the Pet Education Behaviour & Training Council of Great Britain and operates under its rules for behaviour practitioners and abides by the Companion Animal Welfare Council codes and is registered with The Registration Council for Dog Training and Behavioural Practitioners which has continued the work of CAWC regarding implementing the codes.

All CFBA (full) Members are Pet Insurance Approved.
