NOTES
FOR APPLICANTS: STUDENT
1. Applications
to be considered from individuals who wish to take the first steps
in a career in Dog Behaviour & Training. It indicates a willingness
to learn about basic dog behaviour, training and general welfare.
It also signifies to the CFBA governors that they are on the road
to attending relevant courses to improve their knowledge.
2. In
general a student requires no previous experience in dog or cat
behaviour / training (cat behaviour where appropriate) they generally
will have a keen interest in pet animals.
3. A student
will have a wish to study the full gamut of dogs and or cats in
relationship to public ownership of these pets.
Applications
are considered by the Association's Governors' Committee, which
has authority to request further references if it deems this necessary.
The final decision on an application is made by the CFBA Governors.
4. Applications
may be submitted at any time during the year. They will be considered
at the next meeting of the Governors' Committee, which meets regularly.
Applicants and if applicable their referees will be informed once
a decision has been made on an application.
5. Applicants
who are accepted as students status of the CFBA may subsequently
apply for Associate status of the CFBA.
6. The
current subscription for Membership is £18.00 annually.
7. Further

Please note: A student cannot display or indicate nor use their
registration status to promote their personal, private work nor
use any CFBA logos or similar insignia or give the impression to
any pet owner that they are qualified in canine or feline behaviour
practice.
