Heather Stevens has been professionally training dogs for the past thirty years.

Working full time as a Behaviour Practitioner and Trainer, Heather is the proprietor of The Dog's Mind Behaviour Practice, and Canine Connexon Dog Training School, which runs twenty-four Kennel Club Good Citizen Scheme classes each week.

Heather is a Kennel Club (GCDS) Approved Examiner; a Master Trainer member of the Guild of Dog Trainers; a member of the Kennel Club Accreditation Scheme (KCAI); and a qualified Reiki Practitioner. She has also been a trainer for the British Rottweiler Association, on whose committee she also served.

As well as her behaviour work and training classes, Heather manages Phoenix Paws, an Educational Canine Demonstration Team who appear at shows nationwide, demonstrating the KC Good Citizen Dog Scheme and Heelwork to Music, amongst other training and behavioural techniques.

In addition to her behaviour and training practices, Heather works in Rottweiler Rescue and since 1985 she has personally rescued, retrained and rehabilitated more than seventy, owned and trained more than thirty, and competed with twelve Rottweilers in competitive obedience, Heelwork to Music, and the Agility disciplines.
