Mike Gilmore has been training dogs for almost forty years. He works full time as a behaviour practitioner at Essex Dog Academy which he runs with his wife Sue.

In addition to his behavioural practice, Mike also teaches obedience and agility and has designed the highly successful 'get fit with your dog' personal training coaching for people and their dogs.

Mike's hands on approach and knowledge of the dogs psyche as a canine behaviour practitioner brings his clients great success. Mike works primarily via veterinary referral. He is a full-member of The Guild of Dog Trainers and is currently studying towards a BA (Hons) degree with The Cambridge Institute of Dog Behaviour and Training. Sky television is currently filming Mike and the Essex Dog Academy for a programme due to be broadcast later in 2009. In addition Mike runs 'Gilmores Dog Photography' and has received numerous international awards for his work. His knowledge and experience with dogs, their body language and how they learn has enabled him to photograph well over one thousand dogs of all breeds and temperaments showing them in their best light.
