Jo qualified as a Veterinary Nurse in 1994 and worked in practice up until 2005. During her career as a vet nurse, Jo studied for a surgical diploma and dealt with many distressed animals trying to cope with pain and disability. This spurred Jo on to take a keen interest in canine behaviour as it was so important to read and understand canine body language to be able to interact appropriately.

Jo set up a successful behaviour clinic in one of her Veterinary Practices. Jo has a black labrador who has always been a fantastic communication tool when dealing with nervous and aggressive dogs. Jo has trained with him in both agility and obedience, but at the age of ten, he now has the job of helping Jo out with her one to one behaviour sessions.

Jo has studied a higher education course in canine psychology and is now continuing with her acadmic qualifications.
.
