Jane Williams B.Sc. (Hons.), M.A has had a life-long interest in animals, their behaviour and well-being. Jane has an honours degree in Zoology from the University of Nottingham as well as a MA in education and a Post Graduate Certificate in Companion Animal behaviour counselling. Jane has been involved in teaching and training for many years.

Most importantly, Jane has a wealth of experience working with cats and dogs (As well as many other animal species).

She has been running dog training classes in Essex for over 12 years and has been an effective behaviour practitioner for that period. Jane is the referred to by a number of veterinary surgeries in Essex and Suffolk.

Jane set up ‘Athenae' as a service to pet owners in the East of England, to provide professional behaviour counselling to owners and their pets in need. She has contributed to BBC Essex radio programmes, and in the local press on a variety of animal related subjects, including dog behaviour. Jane has also appeared on the BBC's ‘The One Show' TV programme and in the national press with her animals.

Jane is also a Pets As Therapy assessor and volunteer.
